All you really need is a computer with internet access and a web browser (Internet Explorer, Netscape, Safari, Firefox, etc). The browser must have:
Javascript enabled
This is the default setting for most browsers.
The Macromedia Flash plug-in installed
Many animations in The Arthropod Story use a technology called Flash. The Flash player is free to download and install, and it's best to make sure that it's installed before students start work. If your machine has Flash installed, you should see the animation below:
