Proceed forward and back through The Arthropod Story by using the "previous" and "next" links, which appear in the right side of the green bar above the page contents:
...or as buttons along the bottom of the page:
At certain points, students will be prompted to answer questions to proceed. They will not be presented with a "next" link until the question is answered.
Glossary words
Embedded in the text of The Arthropod Story there are linked glossary words. Clicking on these words will bring up a small popup window containing the word's definition.
Sidetrips
At the bottoms of some pages in The Arthropod Story there are links to sidetrips. Sidetrip links look like this:
Clicking on a sidetrip link will open a popup window with supplemental information related to the subject under discussion. Once a user is done reading the sidetrip, they may close the sidetrip window. The original Arthropod Story window will stay open throughout.

Users may browse and jump to different sections of The Arthropod Story by using the Table of Contents, which is linked in the green bar that runs along the top of the page content:
