Trouble-shooting

The Arthropod Story works in a fairly straightforward manner, so you shouldn't have technical problems. If you do have a problem that isn't one of the problems described below, please send an explanation of your problem to uewebmaster@berkeley.edu.

Missing images or animations
If you are seeing large white gaps in pages where it looks like there should be a graphic or animation, it's likely that you do not have the Flash Player installed for your browser. You should download and install the Flash player.

Missing end-of-section assessments
Four of the sections of The Arthropod Story have built-in, end-of-section assessments. At the end of "What is an arthropod?", "Meet the Cambrian critters", "Tools for success: The exoskeleton and the jointed limb" and "An evolutionary constraint: Small size", students will proceed to answer three multiple choice questions. If these questions are not appearing, then it's a problem with the URL that students are using. Here's a typical URL for The Arthropod Story:

URL

The term "3_0_0" must be present in the URL for assessments to appear. It that section of the URL is missing or altered, then assessments will not appear.
